SCST-CHMR Catalytic Heating Coupled with Methanol-to-Hydrogen Technology
SCST-CHMR catalytic heating coupled with methanol-to-hydrogen technology is mainly used to produce 99-99.9995% pure industrial hydrogen from methanol and demineralized water. Methanol and water are mixed in a certain proportion, heated and vaporized, and superheated. After reaching a certain temperature and pressure, a catalyst is used to generate reformed gas containing mainly H2, CO2, and small amounts of CO, CH3OH, and CH4. This reformed gas then enters a PSA system for purification to obtain 99-99.9995% (V) pure industrial hydrogen. The PSA desorbed gas (tail gas) passes through a catalytic heating system to heat the methanol reforming system, eliminating the need for an external heat source. Application scenarios include:
➢ New methanol-to-hydrogen plants
➢ Upgrades to meet emission standards for traditional methanol-to-hydrogen plants
➢ Treatment of organized and unorganized VOCs emissions
➢ Safe and environmentally friendly heating systems using methanol as fuel
